A Palmerton woman was sent to the hospital with minor injuries following a crash around 7 p.m. Thursday in Lehighton.

Joanne Eckhart of Palmerton was driving a green Chevrolet on Mahoning Street when a black Kia, driven by Alexis Kinsley of Lehighton, pulled into her path from Sixth Street, according to police.

Eckhart's vehicle crashed into the steps of a nearby residence.

Kinsley was not injured.
