The Lansford Police responded Wednesday afternoon to assist with a reported drowning at the Lansford Community Pool.

Officers assisted the lifeguards and other pool personnel in assisting in providing aid to an 8-year-old boy.

Witnesses said at the scene that the boy was revived with CPR.

The boy was taken to the Emergency Department at St Lukes Miners Campus in Coaldale.

From there the victim was taken by PennStar Helicopter to Lehigh Valley Hospital / Cedar Crest.

The victim was reported to be doing well.
