DUI arrests

State police at Lehighton reported on the following arrests for driving under the influence.

Troopers said a driver was charged after a one-vehicle crash that occurred at 2:16 p.m. May 18 along Route 209 in Franklin Township, Carbon County. Troopers said Kelly A. Yurkunas, 38, of Palmerton, was driving a 2015 Chrysler 200 northbound when her vehicle went onto the berm and struck a utility pole. Yurkunas was not injured but damages were disabling to the vehicle.She was arrested for DUI, troopers said.Another driver was charged following a crash. At 4:35 p.m. on June 2 Denise A. Crooker, 50, of Saylorsburg, was southbound on Kunkletown Road, in Eldred Township, Monroe County, when her vehicle left the road and rolled over onto its roof. Crooker fled the scene. Charges will be filed.On June 1 at 9:35 a.m. troopers stopped Tamara Lynn Sytch, 42, of Palmerton, in the area of 10510 Route 209 in Towamensing Township, Carbon County, for a vehicle code violation. She was found to be under the influence and taken to the barracks for a breath test. Charges will be filed.
