A Quakake man was cited by Tamaqua Police after a one-vehicle crash on May 31.

Officers responded to a report of a crash on Route 309 at the intersection with Taggertsville Road. On scene, they found a green 2003 Chevrolet pickup against the embankment in the northbound lane. There was no one in the vehicle.A few minutes later, Sean K. Anderson, 37, of 43 Heckman St., Quakake, walked out of a wooded area and admitted to being the driver of the truck. He told officers he went into the woods to urinate. He also said the crash happened because he took his eyes off the roadway for a few seconds.He was passed field sobriety tests.Police cited him for reckless driving.
