UNB Bank, headquartered in Mount Carmel, announced the hiring of Ellen M. Leffler as lending specialist for the bank.

Leffler will be responsible for servicing the lending needs of existing borrowers, as well as development of new business in all of Northumberland, Schuylkill and surrounding counties.Leffler has a strong banking background in lending and customer service, most recently in the position of assistant vice president, commercial loan administrator for Miners Bank. Leffler's 20-year banking career includes experience in all aspects of consumer, mortgage and small-business lending.Born and raised in Pottsville, Leffler is the daughter of the late Bob and Rita Rizzardi Reinmiller. She is a 1987 graduate of Pottsville Area High School and a 1989 graduate of Schuylkill Business Institute in Pottsville.
