A deer was blamed for a one-vehicle crash that occurred on Monday in Schuylkill County.
State police at Frackville said Marcella F. Jones, 23, of Barnesville, was driving a 2007 Ford Escape southbound on Route 1006 (Burma Road), in Blythe Township, at 10:10 a.m. when she swerved to avoid a deer that was along the east berm. The Escape struck the guard rail along the west berm with the front end. After impact the vehicle spun clockwise and came to rest facing northwest in the southbound lane.Jones was not injured. She was cited for the crash, troopers said.
