Diocese of Allentown Bishop John Barres will ordain two priests in ceremonies at the Cathedral of Saint Catharine of Siena in Allentown at 10:30 a.m. Saturday.
The men to be ordained are the Rev. Brendon M. Laroche, 34, of Whitehall, and the Rev. Jared V. Zambelli, 26, of Walnutport.Laroche is the son of Michael and Wilhelmina Laroche of Whitehall. He is a graduate of Allentown Central Catholic High School. He attended Catholic University in Washington, D.C., and DeSales University, Center Valley, where he earned bachelor's degrees in computer science/math and philosophy.He prepared for the priesthood at St. Charles Borromeo Seminary, near Philadelphia, where he earned master's degrees in divinity and theology.He is a member of Holy Trinity Church, Whitehall. During his diaconate year, Laroche was assigned to the Cathedral of Saint Catharine of Siena.Zambelli is the son of Vincent and Crystal Zambelli of Walnutport. He is a graduate of Notre Dame High School, Bethlehem Township. He prepared for the priesthood at St. Charles Borromeo Seminary, where he earned a bachelor's degree in philosophy and master's degrees in divinity and theology.He is a member of St. Nicholas Church, Walnutport. During his diaconate year, Zambelli was assigned to St. Thomas More Church, Allentown.
