The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission advises motorists traveling on the Northeastern Extension to be prepared for daytime single-lane patterns and two-way traffic in the southbound Lehigh Tunnel from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. today through Thursday.

Each day between 7:30 a.m. and 8 a.m., turnpike maintenance crews will implement a traffic stoppage (no more than 15 minutes) in both directions to set up a crossover pattern directing all traffic into the southbound tunnel.By 8 a.m. the northbound tunnel will be closed and traffic diverted into the southbound tunnel until 2 p.m. when the patterns are lifted.Travel advisories will be posted at
