Lehighton police responded to a fight Saturday afternoon in the Gnaden Heutten hospital Saturday afternoon.

Shortly after 2 p.m. reports were two irate men were "tearing apart" the hospital, ripping off doors and damaging hardware. Police from Lehighton, Franklin and Mahoning townships raced to the scene. They soon took two men into custody, reportedly a father and son from the Kunkletown area.

After the younger of the two was treated in the emergency room he was handcuffed and transported to the Lehighton police station. The father was also transported but without cuffs.

Their car parked in front of the hospital was towed from the scene. It is unknown if anyone in the hospital was injured in the fracas or what caused the incident.
