A Jim Thorpe man admitted in Carbon County court on Thursday to selling drugs from his home.
He was one of nine defendants in pending drug-related cases to enter a guilty plea before President Judge Roger N. Nanovic II.Alfredo Russo Jr., 25, pleaded guilty to two counts of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance-marijuana.Russo was arrested after borough police received a tip that he was selling drugs from his home at 425 Center St. Police then set up two buys by a confidential informant at the residence.After the second sale police executed a search warrant at the home and found 310 1/2 grams of marijuana and other drugs and paraphernalia in the home.Nanovic sentenced him to serve six to one day less 24 months in the county prison on each count with the terms running concurrently.He was also ordered to get a drug and alcohol evaluation and follow any recommendations for treatment, zero tolerance imposed on D&A use, and supply a DNA sample.He was given credit for 49 days already spent in jail on the charges.
