The engagement of Marcy L. Walck of Jim Thorpe to David L. Knauft Jr., also of Jim Thorpe, has been announced by their parents.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Jim and Michele Walck of Penn Forest Township. She is a 2006 graduate of Jim Thorpe Area High School and a 2008 graduate of Central Penn College in Harrisburg. She is employed as a caseworker at the Carbon County Assistance Office in Lehighton.The prospective bridegroom is the son of David L. and Sherry Knauft Sr. of Penn Forest Township, and Cheryl Toth of Norristown. He is a 2002 graduate of Jim Thorpe Area High School and is currently employed by Sargent Enterprises in Jim Thorpe.No wedding date has been set.
