ALLENTOWN, Pa. (AP) - An eastern Pennsylvania man who had a seizure behind the wheel before a crash that killed three people has been cleared of the most serious charges against him.
The Morning Call reports (http://bit.ly/1A22web ) 34-year-old John Mayer was found not guilty of vehicular homicide and involuntary manslaughter Wednesday. But a jury convicted him of reckless endangerment.
Authorities say Mayer had a seizure, lost control of his pickup and crashed into another car in February 2013 in Whitehall Township. The crash killed his mother, another woman and her teenage son.
Prosecutors argued that Mayer should be responsible for not taking his medication that morning.
Prosecutors and Mayer's lawyer declined to comment after the verdict.
Mayer is set to be sentenced in June. He could serve more than a year behind bars.
