Air Force Airman 1st Class Kaitlyn E. Flack graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.

The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.Flack is the daughter of Darrell Flack of Kingsland, Georgia, and Karen Tharp of New Ringgold, and stepdaughter of Blake Tharp of New Ringgold. She is also the ward of Diane Ronitz of New Ringgold, ward of Nikki Hadesty of Hometown and Joe Ronitz of New Ringgold. She is also the sister of Darrell Flack Jr. of Tamaqua and granddaughter of John Fredericks of Tamaqua.She is a 2009 graduate of Tamaqua Area High School.
