Ex-police officer accused of sexual contact with teenager

UNIONTOWN, Pa. (AP) - A former western Pennsylvania police sergeant has been charged with having had sexual contact with a teenager in exchange for not filing drug charges against her.

Forty-two-year-old Ryan Reese of Connellsville is charged in Fayette County with involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, unlawful contact with a minor, corruption of minors and other counts.

Authorities allege that Reese, who resigned from the Connellsville department last year, accepted sexual favors from the 16-year-old in return for not filing charges stemming from an October 2013 search of her home.

State police allege that Reese used the girl to make "undercover" drug purchases, and their conversations indicated that "illegal conduct and physical contact" had occurred.

Reese was released on $10,000 bond pending a preliminary hearing Monday; his attorney didn't immediately return a call seeking comment.
