Once again Carbon County firefighters were called to battle a brush fire.

This morning the Aquashicola Fire Company along with crews of the Department of Forestry were called to a brush fire at 85 Maple Drive in Lower Towamensing Township.

The wind swept flames were traveling quickly through heavy brush and trees at the northeast corner of Maple Drive and Fire Line Road. Crews managed to maintain the fire with the use of hoses and chain saws.

No injuries were reported in the incident.
