Jim Thorpe police are investigating a forced burglary that happened at a pharmacy in the borough early this morning.

Police Chief Joseph Schatz said someone broke through the rear steel door of the Mauch Chunk Pharmacy, 1204 North St., just after 4 a.m.Once inside, the suspect took a large amount of narcotics.Police have processed the scene and are reviewing video surveillance.Schatz said anyone with information is asked to call Jim Thorpe police at 570-325-4995.Amy Miller
