A Philadelphia area man has been charged with driving under the influence from an incident in November in Mahoning Township.

On Nov. 1, Mahoning Township Police stopped a vehicle on Route 209 traveling 53 mph in a 35-mph zone.

The driver John Kelly, 28, of Yardley has been charged with Driving Under the Influence of Controlled Substance (Misdemeanor) 2 counts, and exceeding the speed limit.

A blood test showed the presence of Delta-9 THC and Delta-9 Carboxy THC.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for April 1.
