A man whose body was found Friday in Lehighton has been identified.
Carbon County Coroner Bruce Nalesnik has identified the individual as 49-year-old Richard Hartranft, no known address.Nalesnik said the cause of death is pending toxicology results.Hartranft's body was found in the snow near a railroad trestle in a wooded area to the south of Main Lane.On Saturday, borough police Cpl. Scott Prebosnyak said the death did not appear to be suspicious.However, police were awaiting the results of an autopsy, which was performed Monday morning.Reports from the scene say Hartranft was reported missing a month ago.
