Rush-Ryan seniors

After several weather cancellations, the Rush, Ryan and Delano Senior Citizens Inc. met Tuesday at the Ryan Township Fire Company in Barnesville with 44 members in attendance. One guest, Connie Dixon, was also in attendance.The business session was conducted by President Eleanor Schmerfeld. Kathleen Valentine provided an inspirational reading, "Sharing Your Day."Several members were added to the sick list, including Merle Andescavage, Rosetta Folk, Joseph St. Onge, Gloria McHale, Sylvia Garcia, Judy Mogish, Cy Haldeman and Roger Walck. A discussion was held concerning a May 12 trip.Refreshments and social games were enjoyed after the business meeting.The group meets at 1 p.m. on the second and fourth Tuesday of every month at the fire company. Anyone 55 or older is welcome to join.Computer classesThe Tamaqua Public Library offers free basic computer classes through the Seniors Training Seniors Program.
