Missing suburban Philadelphia teenager found dead

NEWTOWN SQUARE, Pa. (AP) - Authorities in suburban Philadelphia say a 13-year-old boy missing for several days has been found dead.

The Delaware County district attorney's office said the body of Cayman Naib was found at about 2 p.m. Sunday near his family's home.

A spokeswoman said the boy's snow-covered body was found in a shallow creek. The medical examiner's office will determine the cause of death.

About 200 volunteers had been searching since the youth left his Newtown Square home Wednesday night, hours before a snowstorm, after receiving a negative school progress report. The civil air patrol, police and the FBI also took part.

Family members announced the discovery on Facebook, thanking all those involved in the search but asking for privacy, saying they were "still processing and struggling with" the news.
