U.S. Representative Matt Cartwright will sponsor a town-hall meeting in Hometown.

According to a release issued by his office, Cartwright will be on hand from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 11, at the Rush Township Municipal Building, 104 Mahanoy Ave., Tamaqua.

The event is open to the public and is being held to discuss issues important to local residents.

Cartwright's office indicated the event is part of an ongoing series of events Cartwright will hold across the Seventeenth District throughout the year.

Everyone is welcome and no RSVP is needed.
