A man who was wanted on warrants from the Berks County Sheriff's Office was picked up on a traffic violation in Mahoning Township.
On Feb. 22 at 2:07 p.m. Mahoning Township Police stopped a vehicle on Mahoning Drive East (Route 902) for a traffic violation.The vehicle displayed a New Jersey Inspection sticker with a Pennsylvania registration.The driver of the vehicle Michael Wensel had a DUI suspended driver's license, and active warrants for his arrest from the Berks County Sheriff's office.Wensel was placed in the Carbon County Correctional Facility on the warrants.Summary charges for the vehicle, and license violations are pending.
