Jim Thorpe woman is arrested for selling drugs

A Jim Thorpe woman was arrested by Nesquehoning Police for selling drugs.

According to borough Police Chief Sean Smith, he arrested Amanda L. Seliga, 28, of 422 Lehigh St., for her involvement with selling drugs to a confidential informant late last year. She faces charges of criminal use of a communication facility, unlawful delivery of a controlled substance, possession with the intent to manufacture or deliver a controlled substance, unlawful possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.The incident occurred sometime between Sept. 8 and 12, 2014.According to the Affidavit of Probable Cause, the informant met with Seliga at the intersection of Fourth and North streets in Jim Thorpe to purchase hydrocodone pills fromSeliga.Seliga sold the CI two 30 milligram pills for $30 per pill. The pills were confirmed by police to be hydrocodone, a narcotic, and turned over to officer Timothy Wuttke, who placed them in evidence.Seliga was arraigned on Jan. 22 before District Judge Edward Lewis, and bail was set at $25,000 unsecured.
