Sponsors needed for human services priority brunch

Carbon County agencies want to know court officials' thoughts on some hot topic issues.

That's why the Carbon County Interagency and Family Collaborative Board is organizing the fifth annual human services priority brunch for area legislators and the public. The event will be April 17 at the Penn Forest Township Building. Brunch will be served at 9 a.m.During the event, officials will present their thoughts on several important issues that deal with Carbon County's present state and future.Details on the brunch will be announced soon, but the group is currently seeking sponsors for the event. Sponsors help offset the cost of the brunch, as well as fund the annual $500 grant that is awarded to one county agency or community group who meets the criteria of the organization's mission.To become a sponsor, donations can be sent to Carbon County Interagency and Family Collaborative Board c/o Melinda Graver, 529 Lentz Trail, Jim Thorpe, PA 18229. Checks can be made payable to Interagency Council of Carbon County.Deadline for sponsorship is March 27.
