Emergency personnel prepare to carry a seriously injured woman to an awaiting Penn Star helicopter Friday afternoon in Polk Township.

As the personnel were beginning to make their way to the craft a heavy wind swept snow squall passed through.

The woman was driving west in the three hundred block of Polk road when her car left the right berm impacting with a tree.

State police at Lehighton are investigating the incident.
