Three people were injured in a head-on collision in Rush Township on Tuesday afternoon. The impact happened at the intersection of Claremont Avenue (Route 309) and Fairview Street in Still Creek.

Kevin Quirk, 58, of Hometown, was traveling south on Route 309 in a 2001 Dodge pick up, while Ricardo Rynkiewicz, 52, of Tamaqua, was traveling north in a Mercedes.Rynkiewicz turned left on to Fairview Street, into the path of the Dodge. Quirk was unable to avoid the collision.Both drivers, and a passenger in the truck, Anthony Androkitis, 54, of Tamaqua, were transported to area hospitals for treatment. Both vehicles had to be towed from the scene.
