A McAdoo man has been cited following a disturbance in the borough on Jan. 1.

Police were dispatched to 25 S. Manning St. at 3:44 a.m., where they encountered Thomas Gaughan, 52, who had been yelling and attempting to gain access to the residence. When officers arrived they found Gaughan leaning against a vehicle, drinking beer and shouting obscenities. He refused to stop, instead sipping the beer and continuing to yell.He was arrested and cited for public drunkenness and disorderly conduct.He complained of hip pain and was transported to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Hazleton.
