A Schuylkill County teenager avoided injury after her vehicle crashed into a concrete bridge rail Friday afternoon.
Schuylkill Haven State Police said the crash occurred at 1:30 p.m. when a 17-year-old girl from Valley View was operating her 2000 Ford Explorer west on Deep Creek Road at its intersection with Clouser Lane in Barry Township.The vehicle drove off the westbound shoulder of Deep Creek Road and struck a concrete bridge rail with its passenger's side rear door and quarter panel.After impact, the vehicle spun clockwise and came to its final rest in a field off the westbound shoulder of Deep Creek Road facing north.The vehicle sustained significant damage and was towed from the scene.There were no injuries reported as a result of the crash.The girl, whose name was not released, was wearing a lap and shoulder belt during the incident.She has been cited in the incident.
