Padora's Italian Bakery in Tamaqua gave away a lot of free breadin December as part of an initiative to help the local Toys For Tots campaign. For a little over two weeks in December, participants exchanged a toy for a loaf of fresh Italian bread. Preparing the toys for delivery to the Tamaqua Salvation Army on Dec. 18 are Cheyenne Port Padora and Amber Berger Murphy. The cause is one that is very dear to the hearts of the members of the Padora and Bergerfamilies, who were thrilled by and thankful for the response from the public.
