$100K ticket unclaimed

A lottery ticket worth $100,000 was sold at Square One Markets, 1470 Interchange Road, Lehighton.

The mini-mart is located along Route 209 just off the Mahoning interchange of the Pennsylvania Turnpike.The winning ticket was one of four second-tier winners in the Jan. 3 Millionaire Raffle drawing of the Pennsylvania Lottery.Winning numbers in the second-tier list are: 00070573, 00140867, 00188425 and 00240679.Sally Hartman, manager at Square One Markets, said this is the second time a customer has won a $100,000 lottery prize at the store.She said several years ago, a local person won a jackpot on a Wild Poker scratch-off ticket.She said the winner of the recent prize hasn't come forward, yet."The Lottery called us yesterday and asked us to make people aware of the winning numbers," she said. "Nobody claimed the prize as of yesterday."The store will receive a $500 bonus for selling the winning ticket.The selling locations of the other second-tier winners besides the one in Franklin Township are all in the western part of the state:• SHOP 'n SAVE-Heidelberg, 2100 Washington Pike, Carnegie, Allegheny County.• Kwik Fill, 4702 W. Ridge Road, Erie, Erie County.• Sheetz, 4701 William Penn Highway, Murrysville, Westmoreland County.There were four $1 million winners in the Millionaire Raffle.Those tickets were sold at:• Kuhn's Market, Coraopolis, Allegheny County.• Wawa, 5900 Bristol Pike, Bristol, Bucks County.• Love's Travel Stop, Mifflinville, Columbia County.• Giant Food Store, 2130 Palomino Road, Dover, York County.A total of 6,000 winning numbers were selected from a pool of 500,000 tickets that were sold between Nov. 14 and Jan. 3, when the game sold out.Lottery officials cannot confirm the identities of the winners until the prizes are claimed and the tickets are validated. Millionaire Raffle winners have one year from the drawing date to claim prizes.Claims for the four $100,000 prizes can be filed at any of the Lottery's seven area offices or at a Pennsylvania Lottery retailer.
