Pleasant Valley's Nate Coursey hits out of the sand trap at Blue Shamrock golf club on Aug. 25. Much to the delight of golf enthusiasts, Blue Shamrock Golf Club in Palmerton opened April 5. The golf club at 2230 Fireline Road replaces the former Blue Ridge Country Club, which was sold in February. Blue Ridge LLC purchased the 315-acre property from First Northern Bank and Trust Co., Palmerton, for $2.055 million.
