Christopher Smith, 27, of Northampton, has been charged with institutional vandalism for damage done to the Northampton County District Magistrate Office of Robert Hawke, located at 4330 Lehigh Drive in Lehigh Township.

Police said Smith broke the window and damaged the door to the court office on Dec. 1.

Smith was taken into custody and arraigned. Bail was set at $30,000 and Smith was remanded to Northampton County Prison.
