A Nazareth woman will be cited for a confinement of dogs violation filed against her by state police at the Lehighton barracks after her dog killed a chicken in Eldred Township.

Police said the incident happened at 3:20 p.m. Dec. 27 at 269 Chestnut Drive in the township. Police identified the victim as Jeanette Mary Van Buskirk, 54, of North Saylorsburg.Police said the dog left the confinement of Steinmetz's property and killed the chicken at Van Buskirk's residence.
