Lehigh Township Police responded Friday to a crash on Route 248 at Route 873, involving a school bus that was rear-ended by a van.

A Carbon-Lehigh Intermediate Unit school bus, driven by Brenda Christman, 47, of Schnecksville, was rear-ended by a 2002 White Ford SuperDuty van, driven by Carl Marzen, 56, of Lehighton.Christman and Donna Gruber, 49, of Schnecksville, another Carbon-Lehigh IU employee, were both transported by Northampton Regional EMS to the hospital with minor injuries.No children were on the bus.Marzen told police when he attempted to stop his vehicle slid on a substance on the roadway.
