Mahoning Township police announced Wednesday the recent arrest of three area residents.
Barry Riegel, of Lehighton, faces two counts of driving under the influence, both misdemeanors.He was arrested at a DUI checkpoint along Route 209 just before 10:30 p.m. on Sept. 20 .A blood test showed his blood alcohol concentration was .11 percent.A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Dec. 10.Ashley Bowden, of Jim Thorpe, faces one count of possessing a small amount of marijuana, a misdemeanor.She was arrested at a DUI checkpoint along Route 209 just before 11:30 p.m. on Sept. 29.Michael Boileau, of Jim Thorpe, was charged with driving while his license was suspended and two summary traffic offenses.A caller reported Boileau passed their vehicle in a no passing zone on Mansion House Hill, Route 209, just after 2:30 p.m. on Oct. 3.Jim Thorpe police stopped the vehicle, at which time they found out Boileau's license was suspended from a prior DUI incident.A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Dec. 10.
