1 dead, 4 hurt in Pennsylvania Turnpike crash

FORT WASHINGTON (AP) — One person is dead and four people are hospitalized after an early-morning crash on the Pennsylvania Turnpike near Philadelphia.

State police say the person killed was riding in a westbound car that collided with a tractor-trailer around 12:30 a.m. Thursday between Exit 339 and Exit 333 near the Mid-County Interchange.The four others, described as young adults, were taken to Abington Memorial Hospital in serious condition.
