October 18, 2006 Tamaqua's Isaac Dunkelberger and Alexa Griffiths both capture their fourth straight Schuylkill League cross country championship at Tuscarora State Park. Dunkelberger covers the 3.1-mile course in a time of 15:40, finishing 38 seconds ahead of the next fastest runner. Griffiths, meanwhile, wins with an even wider margin as her 18:54 is a minute, 39 seconds quicker than the runner-up. The Blue Raider boys also capture the team title as Alex Zubey (seventh) and Sam Griffiths (ninth) also finish in the top ten.
