The death of a 6-week-old infant is being investigated by state police.

Trooper Nicolas De La Iglesia of the Lehighton barracks reported the death occurred Friday at 228 N. Seventh St.

Lehighton borough police were summoned to the scene but turned the investigation over to state police.

No other information was available Friday night.
