A Summit Hill man was arrested Monday and charged with the theft of a computer and a GPS from an East Catawissa Street home in Nesquehoning.
Travis Allen Walck, 24, of 335 E. Hazard St., was arraigned in front of District Magistrate Casimir Kosciolek and charged with one count each of theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property.Nesquehoning police were called to the residence on March 11 and 18 when multiple items were discovered missing including a flat-screen television, all-in-one flat screen computer, a color printer and a Wii gaming system.According to an affidavit of probable cause filed by Police Chief Sean Smith, Walck initially denied taking any items, but later admitted to giving the computer to a friend in Lehighton to cover a debt he owed the friend.Police also found a GPS in his vehicle, which was reported stolen.Walck did not admit to stealing any of the other items.
