McAdoo Police are searching for a white man, possibly in his 30s, in connection with an assault on Sept. 23. The victim is Michael Yates, 32, of McAdoo.

Police say Yates was in the area of Kennedy and Blaine Streets when he was struck with a baseball bat. The assault caused a head injury, which was treated at Lehigh Valley-Hazleton Hospital. Yates is recuperating.The assailant is described as being approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall, with a thin build and a goatee.Anyone with information is asked to call the department at 570-929-2590.
