Lehighton Giant remodels, adds products

Customers who shop at Giant Food Stores in Lehighton need not fret if they aren't initially able to locate one of their trusted grocery items.

Relax, all of your favorite goodies are still at the store at 1241 Blakeslee Blvd.They've just been revitalized as part of a four-month remodel at the store.The store held its grand reopening on Sunday, according to store manager Josh Hudock.Hudock said the remodel was done to provide customers with an expanded product selection and features for a more convenient shopping experience."We're proud to reinvest in the Lehighton community, and we can't wait to show off our new look to all of our customers," Hudock said. "We've broadened our product selection while making the store easier to shop."Hudock said departments such as produce, deli, meat and bakery have been freshened with new décor and fixtures, along with an increased variety of product, while grocery, dairy and frozen foods have also been expanded.Customers will find a broader assortment of natural and organic products in the dedicated section called Nature's Promise Marketplace, which includes more than 2,500 frozen, dairy, grocery and special diet selections, he said.In addition, Hudock said customers will also find a wider assortment of frozen natural and organic products.The store is committed to bringing its shoppers more variety and savings in every aisle, Hudock said.Open 24 hours daily, the Lehighton Giant has about 150 employees.
