Mitchell J. Overpeck, 59, of Saylorsburg, was cited by state police at the Lehighton barracks with reckless endangerment after he fired a revolver into the air over his neighbor's house after the neighbor's dog ran into his yard.
Police said the incident happened at 11:08 a.m. Sunday along Chestnut Drive North in Saylorsburg.The victim has been identified as Fred J. Boyd Jr., 45, of Saylorsburg.Police said after the revolver was discharged, Overpeck stored it inside his house and then returned to his yard where a verbal argument continued with the neighbor.
