A traffic signal at the intersection of the Weissport Bridge will soon be only a memory.
Ronald J. Young Jr., district press officer of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, said Wednesday afternoon that the signal currently installed at the intersection of Route 209 and Bridge Street as part of the Thomas J. McCall Memorial Bridge detour will be turned off when the detour is lifted."As of 8 a.m. Friday, at the latest, everything should be back to normal on the McCall bridge as before the partial detour," Young said, adding that the signal will then be removed at a later time. This means that motorists traveling through and around the Weissport/McCall bridge areas will resume travel routes that were in place before the June detour.
