Few people in the village of New Columbus, known for its lovers of opera, knew that one of the nation's top country music stars was in their midst. But Little Jimmy Dickens and his combo got top billing at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Sam Degiglio of East Diaz Avenue.

The reason for the visit is that lead guitarist Bobby Galloway of Nashville, Tennessee is Mrs. Degiglio's nephew.Mrs. Degiglio said this is her first time meeting Dickens, who is a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame. The singer and his band were returning from an engagement in Bellefonte, near Penn State.
