Police throughout Carbon County are looking for a 31-year-old male suspect in a case involving an assault on a 5-year old-boy and the theft of a gun and bullets.

Friday afternoon police were called to a home at 138 Mauch Chunk Road in Packerton where the assault and theft occurred.

The mother of the child reported the child suffered a fracture of the eye socket, his ear drum damaged and his hair pulled out by blotches by his assailant, her brother.
