Pocono Mountain Regional police are looking for a hit-and-run driver who collided into a utility pole and then fled the scene.

Police said the incident occurred at 8:58 p.m. Aug. 13 on Country Place Drive near Woodside Drive.An investigation revealed a gold Ford Windstar struck the pole head-on. The impact caused live power lines to fall across the road.The driver of the vehicle proceeded to leave the scene and drive on Country Place Drive into the A Country Place community.Coolbaugh Township Fire Company volunteers responded along with personnel from PPL. Parts of the fleeing vehicle were found at the intersection of Natures and Hillcrest drives.Anyone with information is asked to call police at 570-895-2400.
