Smokey Bear will be at the Locust Lake State Park amphitheater, in Barnesville on Aug. 23. The program starts at 6 p.m.

Dave Duffy, fire chief at the New England Fire Company, Tamaqua R.D., will give a fire prevention and campfire safety presentation followed by a visit from Smokey Bear.The program is free and open to the public. Shine only and all children must be accompanied by an adult.
