The annual Lehigh Valley Heart and Stroke Walk will take place at 10 a.m. Sept. 21 at Northampton Community College in Bethlehem. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m.

The walk raises awareness about heart disease and stroke prevention and raises funds for the American Heart Association and American Stroke Association. It is sponsored by Easton Hospital.Individuals or teams interested in participating in the 2014 Lehigh Valley Heart and Stroke Walk can register their team and walkers at

www.heart.org/lehighberkswalk. It is a pet-friendly event featuring vendors, health information, team photos, kids' activities and more.The fundraising goal for the 2014 Lehigh Valley Heart and Stroke Walk is $400,000. Walkers who raise a minimum of $100 will receive a Heart Walk T-shirt and the opportunity to receive additional prizes based on their fundraising levels.For more information, visit the website.
