Schuylkill County commissioners on Wednesday hired Joseph Scribbick of Minersville as the county's new solid waste and recycling coordinator.

Scribbick, who will be paid $34,435 a year beginning July 7, replaces Lee Raring.Commissioners also approved the termination of Amber Melochick of Pine Grove from her job as a part-time nurse's aide at the county nursing home at Rest Haven. They also approved the hiring of Lisa Reese of Shenandoah as assistant director of nursing at $54,992 a year, and Kathleen Gingrich of Lebanon as a full-time licensed practical nurse at $16.97 an hour.The county salary board approved the reclassification of the job of clerk one in the domestic relations office to that of secretary one.
