Two people were injured Saturday morning in a crash in the intersection of Route 443 and Mush Dahl road in the village of Clamtown, West Penn Township.
The crash occurred just before 11 a.m. as a car being operated west on Route 443 stopped to make a left turn onto Mush Dahl Road. It was struck in the rear by a west bound utility truck.
Two people in the car were treated at the scene by members of the Tamaqua and Penn Mahoning ambulances, then transferred to an area hospital.
The operator of the truck was not injured.
Responding was the West Penn Fire Company #1. West Penn fire police maintained traffic control at the scene.
West Penn Township Police are investigating the incident.
